Northern Region Football is New Zealand's largest football Federation, encompassing the Far North, Northland, and Auckland. 


Together with our 72 member Clubs, we provide competitions and opportunities to over 37,800 registered players and thousands of coaches, referees, administrators and volunteers. We run over 16,000 games a season.


We support football/futsal from community levels through to the LOTTO Northern Regional Premier League, which also includes teams from the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

Thriving Communities Officer: two year contract

This is a full time two year fixed term role.  
 
Northern Region Football is proud to be the most diverse footballing community in New Zealand. We’re seeking a passionate community champion driven by the mission of empowering people through football. Focused on South Auckland, you'll collaborate closely with our clubs to make football more inclusive and accessible to the local communities.

Specifically: 
* Work alongside Māori, Asian and Pasifika communities to enable community-led football opportunities, particularly in South Auckland.
* Support identified, priority clubs to understand and improve their capacity to be inclusive and connect those clubs with community football providers.
* Implement the Football for All programme to support the inclusion, participation, and well-being of refugee and low socio-economic communities to access club environments, where relevant.
* Support the implementation of the Health of the Club Network programme.
