Adapted Football is designed to create opportunities for young people with varying abilities to play football and enjoy the benefits of the game.
Adapted Football began in South Auckland at Papatoetoe United in 2018. Five years later, the programme continues to offer great football experiences for young people.
In 2023, we're proud to announce two new hubs, at Eastern Suburbs AFC and West Auckland. This has been made possible thanks to Aktive and the Tu Manawa Active Aotearoa Fund, support the delivery of all three hubs across Tāmaki Makaurau.
The Halberg Foundation have provided valuable support in evolving this programme. The Halberg Foundation aims to enhance the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders through sport and recreation.
